A Harvest Festival is being held at Ninigret park on the 22nd
of September, 2012 from 10am-5pm, followed by a square dance until 6:30. The
festival is a fundraiser for the Charlestown Community Garden, which provides
food to the senior center, the Johnnycake center, local food pantries, and
Meals on Wheels. They run solely on the energy and time of volunteers, and need
funding to continue their good work.
We are anticipating a very big turnout for this event, and
would like to invite you to fill out an application to be considered for
attendance. The price is very reasonable, and fees will be returned if for any
reason we cannot process the application (we do not want too many people
selling the same item, we are sure that you don't, either!). Note that all
participants must have an interactive demo/activity to share with the
attendees. It is late notice, but applications postmarked by tomorrow will have
$10 off the fee ($25 vs. $35).
Please consider joining us for a day of community, food,
theatre performance, music, square dancing. All money from fees will go towards
the garden. If you would like to volunteer or help in any other capacity do not
hesitate to contact myself or any numbers/emails on the application.

Photocopies
of all appropriate permits, licenses and insurance are required with
application.

All
vendors at the Harvest Festival must have an educational, fun or interesting
activity at their booth (For example: If you make soap, create a hands-on
demonstration to teach others in the community how to make soap).

Vendors
must provide their own tent and table.
·
All
vendors will be asked to donate an item to the raffle fundraiser and.
·
Electricity
will be available to those who need it.
·
Preference
will be given to local vendors. Fees will be processed upon acceptance and
returned upon refusal.
The town of Charlestown will not be responsible for
damage, theft or loss of any vendor’s property before, during, or after
festival hours.
THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT, BE PREPARED FOR ANY
WEATHER!
There
will be no refunds given due to weather related problems.
