VIDEO: Letterman returns

If Donald Trump thought he was safe from the skewering comedy of David Letterman, he was wrong.

When Donald Trump announced his entry into the Republican presidential sweepstakes, comedians everywhere rejoiced, especially Daily Show host Jon Stewart. As we all know, Letterman had already retired a month prior to Trump’s announcement, but it seems if anything was going to lure the legendary funnyman back into the fray it would be Trump’s candidacy.

During a guest appearance at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio on Friday night, Letterman joined Steve Martin and Martin Short on stage just so he could deliver one last Top Ten list; and it was all about Donald Trump.

“I was complacent, I was satisfied, I was content, and then a couple of days ago Donald Trump said he was running for president,” Letterman said. “I have made the biggest mistake of my life, I tell you.”
Letterman then proceeded to devastate Trump with an epic Top Ten list that included multiple gems.

Here are just few.
–“Donald Trump has pissed off so many Mexicans he’s starring in a new movie entitled ‘No Amigos.'”
  • “Donald Trump weighs 240 pounds, 250 with cologne.”
  • “During sex, Donald Trump calls out his own name.”
  • “That thing on his head was the gopher in Caddyshack.”
  • “Thanks to Donald Trump, the Republican mascot is also an ass.”
For weeks, Donald Trump has made disparaging and disgusting remarks about Latinos that should repulse everyone.
“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems,” Trump said in June.”It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
If Republicans were serious about welcoming Latino voters into the party, they would denounce Trump and his comments; but they won’t, because they don’t want to anger their racist conservative base.

For now, we can only rely on Democrats and comedians to call out Trump for the despicable joke that he is.
