“Bring out your dead”

Chariho Rotary, Wood River Health getting medieval
David Henley

Eat, drink and be merry will be the cry of the evening!

Step back into the Middle Ages to the time of daring knights on horseback, fair maidens, mischievous sprites, and jolly jesters.

“A Night of Medieval Merriment and Wonder”, The Rotary Club of Chariho’s fifth annual Spring Gala, will be held Sat., April 2, at Foxwoods Resort’s beautiful Lake of Isles to benefit Wood River Health Services.

A trip back in time begins at 6 pm when guests (we suggest dressed in costume!) walk through the doors to meet our King and his cast of colorful characters.

Strolling entertainers, medieval ballads, fierce gargoyles and a unique display of Birds of Prey will ensure the night begins full of fun and frivolity.

Once seated in the Medieval Great Hall, guests will feast on a banquet fit for royalty and thrill to the bardic wit and magicks of Master Daniel Greenwolf, Celtic Magician.

All this is in preparation for the event of the evening, a contest between champions of our lead sponsors, South County Health, Neighborhood Health Plan, L+M Westerly and Lawrence + Memorial Hospitals, for the hand of the King’s daughter!

Brace yourself for mayhem and root for your favorite as the amazing Questless Company finally finds what they were looking for (and promptly loses it again, no doubt).

Plunder aplenty will be available throughout the evening in our silent auction, followed by fierce competition for the finest treasure in our live auction.

Guests will top off the evening dancing the night away to Rock and Soul Revue.
