EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK at "Mageau v. Charlestown"

For the first time since 1994, Jim Mageau has actually filed suit against the town. He is following up on his rejected demand for $20,000 in reimbursement for the costs of his criminal assault defense. That stems from his July 2008 scuffle with CCA leader Cliff Vanover when Mageau was serving as Town Council President.

The Town rejected his claim arguing his fight with Vanover was not part of his official duties as Council President and that Mageau had signed a waiver of legal claims against the town.

But Mageau wants his money, badly enough to end a 15-year old litigation drought.

After the break, you'll see the actual papers Mageau has filed.
