CDTC Tag Sale on TODAY from 8 AM to 4 PM

Some great deals on big-ticket items, jewelry, furniture, plus lots of everything in all price ranges
By Will Collette

For sale: great price
In these last couple of weeks, lots of goods, including some very high value items, were donated to the Charlestown Democratic Town Committee’s Tag Sale on July 7, starting at 8 AM. The Sale will be in a lot right on Route 1 A (Old Post Road) near the corner of Genwood. By all means, come early, but not too early – sale crashers trying to get in before 8 AM will be ejected.

Anyway, some of the recently donated big ticket goods include a couple of bicycles in great condition, an exercise set, a high-capacity air compressor and a couple of very cool hand-carved African giraffes. The taller of the paid stands about five feet tall.

There has also been a flood of last week donations of good quality jewelry – mostly costume, but a number of pieces in silver and possibly a couple in gold. My wife Cathy has had great success in helping tag sale buyers find great bargains at the special jewelry table she staffs on behalf of the CDTC.

We will also have special tables set up for registered Charlestown voters to sign the nomination papers for Senator Whitehouse, Rep. Langevin, Rep. Donna Walsh, Senate Candidate Cathie C. Rumsey and the CDTC’s slate of candidates for town office. Hope you’ll help the CDTC not just by dropping a lot of money at the tag sale but also by signing the papers that put these great candidates for public office on the November ballot.
