Diamond in the Ruff 2020 goes virtual

Join in SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH, at 6:00 PM
Kate Richardson, Animal Rescue RI

Due to the concerns regarding COVID-19 and the recommendations made by the Rhode Island Department of Health to limit large gatherings, Animal Rescue Rhode Island has decided to pivot our 8th Annual Diamond in the Ruff fundraiser from a live event to a virtual one.

This was a tough decision since we love interacting with our supporters, but the safety of our community is paramount.

Our decision was made out of an abundance of caution for our staff, volunteers, supporters, animals and the community.

We invite you to join us on Sunday, October 11th at 6:00 pm, for the first Diamond in the Ruff 2020 Virtual Online Event.

We will be live streaming from the ARRI shelter as we introduce some adorable rescue pets. I hope that you will join us.

Outstanding ticket holders can either request a refund or offer the ticket as a donation to ARRI as a sponsor. You will be included on our website and you will also be mentioned the evening of the event.

Our online virtual auction will begin on Thursday, October 1st, and the auction will close on Monday, October 12th at 5:00 PM EST. This year’s virtual auction offers an array of exciting items and experiences. Bidding is only accessible from mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets. More information about this will be coming soon, including step by step instructions on how to register.

Please stay tuned!

So gather your furry family, your comfy slippers and your favorite cocktail or beverage, and join us from your living room! We’ll also be sharing inspiring stories, familiar faces and special surprises.

Diamond in the Ruff is a very popular event, and it is very important for the financial support of our shelter animals.  Please remember the animals during these difficult times and consider making a donation if you aren’t able to join us. All proceeds from this event directly support the shelter animals.
