ReplyDeleteNice list. Glad to see so many people involved. Just about enough to split the vote enough to make sure all the incumbents are back in office.
ReplyDeleteHell, it worked for Chafee and that was just 3 candidates. If the local Democrats and Republicans got together for a single slate there might be a chance to unseat the CCA and the gal suing the town. Of course, I still believe in the Easter Bunny, but who knows. If not, Will, think of all the fun you will have for the next few years.
The folks at the YMCA must be jumping for Joy.

Yay Paula Andersen!
ReplyDeleteYay Frank Glista!
Two of the hardest working, most caring and honest people Charlestown has.. This is great news.
Hey Jim, is that you leaving anonymous comments?
DeleteI guess there are many people that are not happy with the direction the town is headed. So will Charlestown become more like Connecticut, Massachusetts or New York?
ReplyDeleteYour question presumes that those are the only two options: Either make the entire town open space, or pave it over. Many of us see a great number of possibilities in between those two extremes.
DeleteIf the taxpayers and voters of Charlestown really care about the town's future they'll ignore the political rhetoric and carefully review the incumbant town council's record. When that's done there should no questions about voting them out of office. I know that all of the people who disliked my style governing when I served on the town council will respond with some sought of disparaging remarks but that's O.K. Be honest with yourselves and compare our records. You'll find that I was right more then 90% of the time and I will publicly debate anyone who dares to challenge me.
