Special Election – Town Council Vacancy

A Special Election will be held to fill the vacant Town Council seat.

Declarations of Candidacy

Available at the Town Clerk’s Office (4540 South County Trail, Charlestown, RI 02813)

Also available online at the RI Secretary of State Candidate Calendar

Filing Period

Declarations must be filed in person at the Town Clerk’s Office on:

Thursday, September 25, 2025 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Friday, September 26, 2025 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Election Dates

Primary Election (if required): Tuesday, November 4, 2025

Special Election: Tuesday, December 2, 2025
