Celebrating American trade unionism at the Super Bowl

One fact about the Super Bowl that gets little attention is that it all the players on the field are union members, represented by one of America’s strongest unions, the NFL Players Association.

A bogus anti-union group, the fraudulently named “Center for Union Facts” will be airing an anti-union commercial during the game, paid for by the almost $4 million paid into it by union-busting employers.

If you plan to throw your beer at the screen, make sure it’s a union brew (and by the way, I hope you miss).

While some major brands (e.g. Heineken and Guiness) are non-union, a lot of American beer is proudly made by union workers.
