20 Despicable Quotes About Women By Trump

Not even his daughter is safe
Trump has demeaned women for decades; and it looks like Stormy Daniels and her ace attorney, Michael Avenatti, are on a trajectory to take down the Trump presidency long before Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller has time to complete his investigation.

It’s fitting somehow that the man who has spent decades demeaning and degrading women suddenly finds himself at the end of his rope as the result – indirect or otherwise – of one of his many well-documented [alleged, just to be 100% accurate] extra-marital affairs.

The British political and cultural magazine The New Statesman published an article in late 2016 suggesting that “we should be kind to America’s first victim – Melania Trump,” and perhaps we should.

As The Guardian observed a few months later, “Melania Trump has a look that I’ve never seen before, the eyes of someone waiting with increasing impatience for Stockholm Syndrome to set in. The look of a woman frantically trying to unlearn English, appalled to find that this only makes her understand her husband more clearly.”

However tragic their stories, Trump’s apparent war on women did not begin and end with Melania and Stormy. It started decades ago as the following quotes amply demonstrate – sorted in reverse chronological order.

As Huffington Post reported during the waning months of the presidential campaign, over the years Trump “has consistently insulted, belittled, sexualized and stereotyped women. He has also taken the time to personally insult individual notable women like Sarah Jessica ParkerRosie O’Donnell, Cher, Bette Midler, and others.”

  1. “Look at that face. Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next next president? I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?” (Rolling Stone, September 2015)
  2. “If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?” (Twitter, April 16, 2015)
  3. “How much money is the extremely unattractive (both inside and out) Arianna Huffington paying her poor ex-hubby for the use of his name?” (Twitter, April 6, 2015)
  4. “I mean, we could say politically correct that look doesn’t matter, but the look obviously matters. Like you wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful.” (Trump speaking to a female reporter, featured on Last Week Tonight later that same week, September 2014)
  5. “26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?” (Twitter, May 7, 2013)
  6. “While @BetteMidler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct.” (Twitter, October 28, 2012)
  7. “Oftentimes when I was sleeping with one of the top women in the world I would say to myself, thinking about me as a boy from Queens, ‘Can you believe what I am getting?’” (Think Big: Make it Happen in Business and Life, 2008)
  8. “Rosie O’Donnell’s disgusting. I mean, both inside and out. You take a look at her, she’s a slob … ” (Entertainment Tonight,” Dec. 21, 2006)
  9. “… she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” (ABC’s “The View,” March 6, 2006)
  10. “My favorite part [of ‘Pulp Fiction’] is when Sam has his gun out in the diner and he tells the guy to tell his girlfriend to shut up. Tell that bitch to be cool. Say: ‘Bitch be cool.’ I love those lines.” (TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald, 2005)
  11. “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me— consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.” (How to Get Rich, 2004)
  12. “It’s certainly not groundbreaking news that the early victories by the women on ‘The Apprentice’ were, to a very large extent, dependent on their sex appeal.” (How to Get Rich, 2004)
  13. “There’s nothing I love more than women, but they’re really a lot different than portrayed. They are far worse than men, far more aggressive … ” (The Art of the Comeback, 1997)
  14. “Women have one of the great acts of all time. The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers. The person who came up with the expression ‘the weaker sex’ was either very naive or had to be kidding. I have seen women manipulate men with just a twitch of their eye — or perhaps another body part.” (The Art of the Comeback, 1997)
  15. “The most difficult aspect of the prenuptial agreement is informing your future wife (or husband): I love you very much, but just in case things don’t work out, this is what you will get in the divorce. There are basically three types of women and reactions. One is the good woman who very much loves her future husband, solely for himself, but refuses to sign the agreement on principle. I fully understand this, but the man should take a pass anyway and find someone else. The other is the calculating woman who refuses to sign the prenuptial agreement because she is expecting to take advantage of the poor, unsuspecting sucker she’s got in her grasp. There is also the woman who will openly and quickly sign a prenuptial agreement in order to make a quick hit and take the money given to her.” (The Art of the Comeback, 1997)
  16. “I have really given a lot of women great opportunity. Unfortunately, after they are a star, the fun is over for me.” (ABC’s “Primetime Live,” March 10, 1994)
  17. Women: “You have to treat ’em like shit.” ( New York Magazine, November 9, 1992)
  18. “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.” (Interview with Esquire, 1991)
  19. Speaking of his then-wife: “I would never buy Ivana any decent jewels or pictures. Why give her negotiable assets?” (Vanity Fair, September 1990)
  20. “When a man leaves a woman, especially when it was perceived that he has left for a piece of ass—a good one!— there are 50 percent of the population who will love the woman who was left.” (Vanity Fair, September 1990)
