Register for URI’s Alton Jones Camp by May 31

The University of Rhode Island’s W. Alton Jones Camp offers a big backyard for learning, exploration, adventure and fun for young people ages 5 to 16.


Take advantage of a 10 percent discount on all camp programs for online registrations received by May 31. Each camp session lasts one week. 

Overnight campers ages 9 through 16 choose from a variety of adventures that include exploring marine life, stream hiking, backpacking, coastal exploration, swamp tromp, and staying up to experience the nocturnal world. 

Teen campers focus on multi-sport adventure activities such as sailing, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding. 

Day campers can explore life on the farm at the Farm Day Camp for ages 5 through 8 or the ecology of forests, ponds, and streams at the Eco-Zone Day Camp for ages 8 through 12. 

Day campers can take advantage of additional savings by attending during the shortened week of July 5 for a reduced fee.

The W. Alton Jones Campus is a 2300-acre former estate in West Greenwich, R.I. with a 75-acre private lake and 10 miles of hiking trails. During the summer the campus offers a variety of day and overnight camp programs for youth.
