The reason for this request is "that the Town is exploring other means that may preclude the need for this matter to be decided by the ABR" (actually, that's the ZBR).
This is a pretty obvious reference to the negotiations between the town and Larry LeBlanc over a deal for the 81 acre site to be publicly acquired, presumably for open space.
