New medical staff at Wood River Health

Adds Behavioral Health Clinician and Pediatric Nurse Practioner

Wood River Health has expanded its team of providers by hiring Behavioral Health Clinician Aprile Daley, MSW, LCSW and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Maria McGurrin, DNP, MSN, CPNP.

I am delighted that Aprile Daley and Maria McGurrin have joined our team of providers,” stated President and CEO Alison L. Croke, MHA. “Our staff are mission driven; they are dedicated to increasing the quality of life of the members of this community. By expanding our staff, we are able to connect more patients with the health care programs and services they require to thrive.”

Aprile Daley, MSW, LCSW is a behavioral health clinician at Wood River Health who works with children, adolescents, and adults. Aprile graduated from Rhode Island College in 2022 with her master’s in social work and has over eight years’ experience working in the mental health field. 

Maria McGurrin
At Rhode Island College, she also attained a certificate in integrated behavioral health and has worked in several federally qualified community health centers in the state of Rhode Island. 

Daley’s specialties include working with patients with trauma, PTSD, grief, personality disorders, ADHD, Autism, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. As a behavioral health clinician Aprile strives to create a safe space for her patients that fosters resilience, growth, and empowerment while helping her patients develop goals that align with their personal values and beliefs.  

Maria McGurrin, DNP, MSN, CPNP joined Wood River Health in June 2023 as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Bryn Mawr College in Anthropology with a focus on physical and medical anthropological practice. 

Maria received both her master’s and her doctorate in Pediatric Nursing Practice from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions. She has additional experience in case management and public health responses to infectious disease.

McGurrin has worked in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings including pediatric primary care clinics, schools, community health centers, remote care management and as a consultant for practices applying for Patient Centered Medical Home Recognition.
