Spring break is here!

From April 17 - 24,  splash right in at the Mystic Aquarium with special events every day, including local musicians, artisans, arts and crafts, and more!

We'll be collecting non-perishable goods for the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and Uniting for United, which helps provide food to the over 33,000 food insecure individuals living in New London County.

Check out our schedule of events below:

April 19th – Learn about the sustainable work being done at the Six Paca Farm, along with fun facts about alpacas and the products and production of alpaca fiber-based products. Six Paca Farm’s 60+ alpacas provide plenty of fiber which we spin at our semi-worsted mill. Items made from our fiber including yarn, roving, rug bumps, and hand-crafted items like scarves, shawls, mitts, hats, and baby sets.

April 20th – Living Sharks’ Curator and Educator Keith Cowley will present artifacts and live demonstrations about shark tagging – the history, science, technology, and techniques used by research organizations! Living Sharks Museum is America’s first shark history museum featuring artifacts from around the world that detail and preserve the story of the shark. Visit us to learn more about shark history, science, and conservation!

April 21st – Learn all about how honey is made, about taking care of bees, and what all the BUZZ is about from local bee-keepers at Sticky Situations.

April 22nd – Celebrate Earth Day learning all about how you can help conserve our planet. Build your very own boat out of recycled materials, provided by Mystic Aquarium, and race down our Marsh Trek stream to see who has the fastest boat! The winner will receive a gift card from Deviant Donuts. And don’t forget to head over to our Facebook to vote for the best mask design for our Earth Day Celebration!

April 24th – Join us for a beach clean-up, or stop by and visit with members from New England Science and Sailing to chat all things science and sailing!
