August 15: Be Brave!

Friday, August 15th, we celebrate #BeBraveDay, when hundreds of Visibility Brigades will converge on overpasses and bridges across our nation, proclaiming:  BE BRAVE WITH US. WE’LL STAND WITH YOU. South County Rising  protesters will gather at  Austin Farm Rd in Exeter at the Rt 95 overpass  on Friday, August 15 at 5:00-6:30 PM with plenty of parking on both sides of the Road.  We will provide letters to hold and large flags.   To get there: From Hope Valley, head north on Rt. 3 (Nooseneck Hill Rd.) for about 7 miles.  Austin Farm Road is a left turn before you get to Victory Highway, Rt. 102.  The overpass is not far from the turn on Austin Farm Road.   From the North on 95, take Exit 5 toward Exeter to Rt. 3.  Austin Farm Road is the first right after the light at Victory Highway.

BE BRAVE WITH US.  WE'LL STAND WITH YOU. This message should become a mantra of hope and determination beyond August 15th that we can hold onto and share with each other in even our darkest moments. The message should be seen and heard EVERYWHERE–join us! On Friday August 15th, you don’t need an overpass. You can present this message on sidewalks, store windows, the front dash of your car, on your lawn, taped onto telephone poles–anywhere that is public and where we have First Amendment Rights or where you have permission to display it. Here are some free poster files that you can print out in numerous sizes and put on display. Question: Do I wait until August 15th to display the message? Answer: We want #BeBraveDay to be the launch of our messaging, but we encourage you to post online and get the word out about that day beforehand. Remember, #BeBraveDay is just the beginning!
